What is the International Year?
The International Year Program is for international students who desire a comprehensive and well-supported introduction to an undergraduate degree of their choice.
This program helps transition you seamlessly into university life, ensuring you are prepared for further success during your studies in the United States.
If you meet the academic and English language entry requirements, you may enroll in your undergraduate degree program through our Direct Admission option.
What You Will Study
Each semester you will take a combination of university academic courses (credited) and English courses (non-credited). Course options are dependent upon the required pathway. Once you have reached the required English level you can progress onto your program at the University of Hartford.
Standard 2 semester pathway: 8 months
Extended 3 semester pathway: 12 months
Extended 4 semester pathway: 16 months
