UHart not only offers degrees in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science but also a Bachelor of Science in Robotics Engineering. This program focuses on an innovative approach to hands-on learning with a productive curriculum preparing students to fulfill the growing and expected demands for entry-level careers.  

Master essential skills  

The immersive programs at UHart teach students key aspects of robotics principles, designs, and operations. In the Robotics Engineering BS degree, students will experience core areas of robotics, including sensors, actuators, mobile processors, computer vision, machine learning, and artificial intelligence (AI), as well as fundamental principles of perception, localization, locomotion, and control of advanced mechanisms.  

Gain hands-on experience  

UHart houses two fully equipped robotics laboratories containing various state-of-the-art technologies and equipment, including Baxter, a multifunctional and articulated manufacturing robot. There are currently multidisciplinary research efforts related to robotics that cover not only ground vehicles but also underwater and aerial vehicle domains. 

Build a strong portfolio  

Students will be well prepared for a career in robotics with UHart's hands-on projects and participation in robotics events through the UHART Robotics Club. This club works on various ongoing projects in the fields of robotics, artificial intelligence, and real-time control systems (such as humanoids, mobile robots, industrial robots, service robots, and drones). Members of this organization also participate in research groups such as the Autonomous Mobile Robotics Research Group or the Assistive Robot Team. Every year, more than 50 students from multiple majors (Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Computer Science) work in the team. They range from first-year to graduate students.
